Storytelling in French Sign Language (LSF)

Its not often that I come across a great example of storytelling in sign language. A famous French children’s book “Coyote Mauve” has been told in Langue des Signes Fran├žais and it is beautifully simple.

There is no text, but the images come alive through the storytelling without competing with it. You get a sense of action and you want to know what happens next. There is no emphasis on French grammar which is what needs to happen in some storytelling sessions.

Have a look and see what you think!
